We are proud to honor Ro Coleman, CEO of Empowerment Pursuit, as our January Star of the Month. Coleman has dedicated himself to diversity and inclusion—both on and off the baseball field. His organization is empowering young athletes and their communities to do better. Ro continues to battle racial inequities in the little league system and works tirelessly to ensure that all athletes, regardless of their race, receive the benefits of club baseball. “Our biggest initiative is diversity. When we step on the field, I hope that what sticks out is how diverse we are as a team, said Coleman.”

As Coleman played collegiate and MLiB baseball, he was exposed to several underserved communities that are the inspiration behind this organization. “At the end of the day, we want to not only serve opportunities on the field but off the field as well. We want to teach kids how to really be successful in everyday life.” The Nashville Stars Baseball Scout Team, which will be coached by Coleman, will represent Music City Baseball in tournaments across the southeast and will be provided uniforms through a partnership with Wilson Sporting Goods. One of the uniforms worn will showcase a throwback Nashville Stars design from renowned clothing designer Jerry Lorenzo Manuel, of FEAR OF GOD.
