The Last Minute Toy Store began serving families in the Middle Tennessee area in 1986, but it was not until 2006 that Dale Robble, now President of the organization, became involved. Robble had a moment with his daughter when they decided that they could do more to serve their community and volunteered for this labor of love ministry.
“The Last Minute Toy Store (LMTS) is an all-volunteer ministry, 501c3 charity. Simply put, the mission at LMTS is to happily provide gifts and toys to girls and boys newborn to age 18 each Christmas. In 2019, (our 27th year) we provided Christmas to over 6,000 children in Nashville alone,” said Robble.
While Robble leads the group, there are over 1,000 volunteers each year that help bring this vision to reality for families across our area. “No one person can take credit for LMTS. Any recognition can only be accepted on behalf of our LMTS Team. I’ve heard it said many times, there is no “i” in TEAM and that’s so true especially for LMTS.
Each year thousands of volunteers in our Nashville Community come together led by our Board of Directors including Sheriff Daron Hall and The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office. This is a ministry of Highland Park Church, The United Methodist Churches, along with thousands of individuals and businesses including Nashville media coming together to make LMTS possible each year.” The Last Minute Toy Store is still accepting donations through December 15th, 2020 and you can CLICK HERE to learn more about how to support their efforts.
