Middle School can be a time for growth and exploration for students as they open their eyes to the possibilities in the world. It helps to have guidance from others who can help encourage them to imagine the unimaginable.
Wright Middle School held their annual Career Exploration Day on April 5th, giving students the chance to look at the different careers they could have and ask questions to the professionals. The Nashville Stars had the opportunity to participate and talk to students about all the different careers in sports.
“Most children this age think they can only be a Major League baseball player,” said Mia Vickers, who is the Community Engagement Manager for the Stars. “We wanted to show that you can do many things like be an agent, coach, social media manager, community relations, and so much more.”
Approximately 20 employers took part in the event. A special thanks to Wright Middle School for the invitation and opportunity to encourage the next generation of baseball fans.
